Presentation

Created in 2013, Festival Cinéma(s) d’Iran will celebrate its 11th anniversary in 2024. The festival takes place every year during the month of June at Nouvel Odéon cinema, in Paris. Its goal is to introduce independent long, and short narrative and documentary features directed by Iranian or non-Iranian film makers whose work has close ties with Iran. Every year, the festival presents a topic or a retrospective which conveys the diversity of the Iranian cinema through its directors and main actors.

Competition & Awards

The Festival Cinéma(s) d’Iran is not a competition, no prize is awarded.

Conditions for registering the films

  • The topic of the films must have something which pertains to Iran.
  • The film has to be produced in 2022 afterwards.
  • The films which were released in Iran (e.g., in festivals, cinemas, on TV, etc.) are eligible.
  • The films which were already released in France are not eligible.
  • The registration of the films is free.
  • The list of the films which were selected by the committee will be made public prior to February 1st, 2024.

Registration deadline

The deadline for the registration of the films is January 1st, 2024. The registration form must be filled out and the link must be put online on that date, at the latest.

Format

  • In order to register the film, the link must be a Vimeo link (access protected by a password) with English or French subtitles.
  • If the movie is selected by the committee, it will be necessary to provide the following file format:
    Prores (Codec) HD HQ 1920*1080 – 24fps – audio 5.1 or LTRT — clean (without subtitles).

Présentation

Créé en 2013, le Festival Cinéma(s) d’Iran fêtera ses 11 ans en 2024. Ce festival a lieu depuis sa création chaque année au mois de juin à Paris au cinéma Nouvel Odéon. Il a comme objectif de présenter des longs métrages et des courts métrages de fiction et des documentaire, indépendants, réalisés par des Iraniens et des non-Iraniens ayant un lien avec l’Iran. Chaque année, le festival présente un thème ou une rétrospective qui met en valeur la richesses historique du cinéma iranien par le biais de ses réalisateurs ou principaux acteurs.

Compétition & Prix

Le Festival Cinéma(s) d’Iran n’est pas compétitif et ne décerne aucun prix.

Condition d’inscription des films

  • Le sujet des films doivent avoir un lien avec l’Iran.
  • Les films doivent être finalisés au plus tard en 2022.
  • Les films précédemment présentés publiquement – que ce soit en salle, en festival, à la télévision, en VOD en Iran sont éligibles.
  • Les films ayant eu une sortie nationale en France ne sont pas éligibles.
  • L’inscription des films n’engage aucun frais.
  • La liste des films retenus par le comité de sélection sera dévoilée avant le 1er février 2024.

Date limite d’inscription

La date limite d’inscription est fixée au 1er janvier 2024.
(il est impératif qu’à cette date, la fiche d’inscription ait été remplie et le lien du film ai été déposé en ligne)

Préparation du film

  • Pour inscrire le film, il faudrait présenter un lien Vimeo (protégé par un mot de pass) avec les sous-titres anglais ou français.
  • Si le film est sélectionné, il est impératif de préparer un fichier selon les caractéristiques suivants :
